The Magical Reality is Coming

2014 is off to an exciting start:
-
My story Trickster’s Song is being reprinted in the anthology Tales from Indian Country, edited by Troy D. Smith, benefiting the Standing Stone American Indian Cultural Center (Read more about it here at Jeff Vandermeer’s Booklife).
-
The Grande Complication made the 2013 Tangent Online Recommended Reading List.
-
I’ll be entering my first year of eligibility for the John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer.
But the most exciting news of all is this:
This is a Marantz Professional sound recorder — the same kind used by your favorite shows on NPR.
I’m launching a new podcast in the future: The Magical Reality. This is a different kind of podcast.
I won’t reveal all the secrets before the debut, but if you are a fan of shows such as Welcome to Night Vale and This American Life, you will want to tune in. More details to come.
Meanwhile enjoy this picture of the evil santa that brought me these fine audio gadgets for Christmas. I suspect that the evil red-eyed cookie of darkness that hovers beyond him may also have something to do with this.

Congrats! I’m going to be in the SSAICC anthology, too. My first time sharing a TOC with one of my CW classmates. xo
Thats’s awesome, Pam. I can’t wait to read your story. I really enjoyed the one you published in Future Lovecraft.
